On September 16th, 2015, I launched the first version of 1Blocker on the App Store. Today marks the five-year milestone 🎂 for us. I’m very proud of our team and incredibly thankful to our users for their support for the past five years. We wouldn’t be here today without you!

Our users are happy with the results they get after installing 1Blocker. However, there are some limitations in what the API can do. Also, we think several enhancements can be made to further improve the user experience.

With the release of 1Blocker 3.5, we improved support for accessibility features (VoiceOver) that let you experience everything 1Blocker has to offer.

We also added new regional filters for better 🇨🇳 Chinese and 🇵🇱 Polish ad blocking.

We added new blocking stats that you can access via our 1Blocker Button extension for Safari.

It’s a great way of visualizing how much tracking 👀 on sites there is nowadays. In addition to the blocked resources chart, it also shows the total number of blocked ads, trackers, and other resources.

We are constantly improving 1Blocker and listening to your feedback. Here are two major updates for you in version 3.2:

New localizations

We translated the app into three more languages. 1Blocker now fully supports 🇪🇸Spanish, 🇫🇷 French, and 🇮🇹 Italian. Let us know if you like it!

New country-specific rules

We expanded our Regional section of built-in rules with new country-specific additions for improved Spanish, Italian, French, Japanese, and Dutch ad blocking.

1Blocker for iPhone, iPad, and Mac has just been fully localized into German 🇩🇪 now! We’re so excited to share this update with our Deutsch-speaking users. We made this update for you, and we hope you like it. Get the latest version from the App Store.
